According to the National Institute of Mental Health, around 351 million people live in the US and 18% of them suffer from a mental illness. That's around 44 million people suffering from eating disorders, post-traumatic stress or depression, among other disorders. However, only 58% of those suffering from a mental illness receive treatment. In other words, 25.5 million Americans who struggle with mental illness don't receive any treatment.
